Prayer Ministry

This is the portal for the Good Shepherd Prayer Ministry. It provides a place for parishioners to ask for prayers. You can also use it to join the Prayer Ministry, and join other parishioners in committing to intercessory prayer for the intentions given to our prayer ministry.

Requests for Intercessory Prayer

Peter tells us “cast all your worries upon him because he cares for you.”(1 Peter 5:7). The way we typically do this is through prayer. And the way we often experience God’s care is through the love, support and prayers of God’s people, the Church. Many people need our support including the sick, their caregivers, those in harm’s way, the deceased and grieving, the lonely, the disabled, the divorced, the poor, those who have lost their jobs, their home, their families, victims of abuse, those with additions, and victims of injustice of any kind.  Also consider asking for prayers for good outcomes for events, continuing support for specific people, and for disasters and crisis.

Please utilize the form below to request prayers. The amount of information you give is your choice; God’s know for whom and what we will pray. Prayers will be distributed as least weekly to our prayer ministers, more often if urgent, and may be added to the intercessions at mass. Requests will stay on the line for a month unless updated. We ask that you update your information, if possible, at the end of a month.

Join our Prayer Ministry

St. Paul tells us, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.” What is the law of Christ? To love God with all our heart, sould and mind, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Many people praying for the same person or purpose is a powerful tool. We don’t need to be gathered together physically or even in time, but by our desire to pray for a special intention.

What are the requirements for being a Prayer Minister?

  • The desire to join others in prayer for the special intentions of the poeplrequesting prayer
  • A commitment to keep information confidential
  • A willingness to invite people to be prayed for and add them to the prayer list
  • A commitment to spend a few minutes each day in prayer for those intentions as part of your regular prayer practice or as a special time of intercession. You can pray any time and anywhere for these intentions.
