Craft and Quilting Groups
Quilting and Crafts:
There is the opportunity to participate in sewing and crafting projects at both of our sites:
1. Good Shepherd “Quilty Crafters”: The talented women and men of Good Shepherd Parish come together in the activity room at the St. Joseph site on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month. We meet from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm to create beautiful quilts and various other crafts. You do not need to have a special skill to join us. Anything can be learned and all talents are welcome. A potluck lunch is included. Items are donated or sold to help our church and various community organizations, including the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. As members of this group our mission is to provide warmth and comfort to our community. We will do this by using our God-given talents to help God’s people. Contact Sue Berkan at 222-0117 or sberkan@charter.net for more information.
2. Volunteers meet every Wednesday at the St. James site, from the first week of Lent through early May to piece and tie quilts. These quilters work in the sewing room inside the school. The quilts are sold at the fall festival or given to Catholic Charities. More quilters would be very welcome Contact Alberta Sullivan 257-7020
